Accidente en Sao Paulo / Sao Paulo accident

Leo lo del accidente de Sao Paulo. En ese aeropuerto estuve hace dos semanas.
Esa noche llegué al aeropuerto y mi siguiente vuelo con destino a Rio de Janeiro fue suspendido. Mi vuelo, y todos los de esa noche. Una espesa niebla.
En unos minutos, miles de personas se agolpaban en los mostradores de TAM, pidiendo un nuevo billete para el día siguiente. En nuestro caso, pidiendo también un alojamiento.
Fuimos enviados a un buen hotel. El mejor de los 4 hoteles en los que me alojé en Brasil.

A pesar del caos, el personal de TAM se protó muy bien.

Leo en los medios de comunicación que el accidente se debió a las malas condiciones climatológicas. Allí es invierno y parece que los días nublados/lluviosos son algo común.

Leo también que la pista estaba en mal estado. Cuando yo estuve estaban terminando los trabajos de remodelación de la 2ª pista, pero desconozco si fue esa la del accidente.

No voy a decir las dos típicas cosas de:
- Puff, me salvé por un pelo. Si hubiera retrasado mi viaje dos semanas, hoy no lo cuento.
- Normal que pasen esas cosas, aquello es un país de pobres.

Bueno, pues lo primero está claro. Yo estuve hace 2 semanas, igual que otras tropecientasmil personas más.
Y no, el aeropuerto estaba muy bien. Casi mejor que alguno de los que he visto en España. No es excesivamente grande, pero funciona muy bien. Y el personal de TAM, principal compañía allí, muy serio (ojalá me atendieran igual cuando vuelo con compañías españolas).
Un golpe - nunca mejor dicho - de mala suerte.

I read a text about the Sao Paulo accident. I was there two weeks ago.
That night I arrived to the airport from Ribeirao Preto. Waiting the next flight to Rio Do Janeiro, it was foggy. My fligth and everyone in that night were cancelled.

In some minutes, thousand of people in front of the TAM desks asking for information, a new fligth. In our situation, we were asking for a new ticket and a place where sleep. We were sent to a hotel. A good hotel. The best we stayed in our trip - we visited 4 hotels-.

The airport was the chaos, but the TAM workers did their job very good and fast.

I read in mass-media that the accidente was due to the bad weather. There, it's winter and the cloudy/rainny days are common.

I read the runways were in bad conditions. When i was there, they were finishing the improvement works, but i don't know if that was the cause of the accident.

I'm not going to say the two typical things:
- Uf, I was lucky. If i had been there two weeks later, today I wouldn't writing this.
- It's normal. It's a poor country.

Well, the first thing is easy to understand. I was there 2 weeks ago. Me, and many thousand more.
And not. The airport was in excellent conditions. Better than other ones in spain. It isn't very big, but I felt it works very good.
And the workers of TAM, the principal comany in the airport, were serious and polite (I wish I see something like that in Spain).

I think it was bad luck.
